Eva und Raphael Fischer - Tiffany
In our shared attic studio in Vienna’s 14th district, in which I have now been working for 20 years together with my partner Helmut Stenitzer and since 2008 also with my son Raphael – to whom we have been able to pass on our skills and experience – all of the pieces are designed and produced by hand for the markets and exhibitions. We are also pleased to manufacture very special pieces according to customers' wishes or to adapt them to their respective living area.
Whereas my partner Helmut Stenitzer predominantly works with stainless steel and brass, my son and I make use of a wide range of Tiffany glasses which are ordered from the US via Germany. For many years now, we have connected previously designed and then cut parts with pure tin (without lead, for the sake of the environment).
In this way we create lamps, light angels, animals, games, door fillings, jewellery and much more. A particularly interesting process is combining semi-precious stones with glass and a source of light which really highlights the intensity of the colours. The shapes are simple, which makes them all the more attractive.
A particular pleasure in this work is having contact and dialogue with customers, because that is where interesting suggestions frequently come from. Having satisfied customers shows us that our work is appreciated, which is a source of great joy. It is a kind of gratitude and humility to be able to share the beauty of individual products and the joy of our work with many other people all over the world!
